Argument of Fact
For my argument of fact I chose a quote from Barack Obama's campaign website. It states that "evidence suggests that John McCain's energy policies will provide over $400 million in tax breaks for the big oil companies, thats not change, thats the same old thing." The reason this is an argument of fact is because it raises questions about what the facts in a given situation may be. It also offers substantial evidence to support its claim by outlining McCain's previous history of constantly voting for tax breaks for oil companies in the US Senate. It also outlines McCain's plan and support for no windfall tax on the oil companies.

What evidence does it cite? The word "evidence" is baseless unless there is actually something behind the word. I'm not saying that this fact is wrong, but they provide no details whatsoever as to what they are basing this fact on.
