This quote from Joe Biden's speech at the Democratic National Convention is a great example of ethos as he was making an arument based on character. Biden was trying to make the case that because he has been on the ground in these countries that he can make the hard and tough decisions a leader must make. This quote shows his credibility on foreign policy issues.

I agree that this shows Biden's experience in foreign policy, but i also feel that this statement also undermines his credibility, because he has never voiced how he is going to do anything differently.
