Pathos

This picture is a great example of a pathos argument. The picture depicts a German wrestler named Matthias Steiner who won an Olympic gold medal in weighlifting this summer in Beijing. He is holding his gold medal as well as a picture of his late wife. She passed away in a car accident earlier in the year and he devoted his performance in the Olympics to her. This picture is filled with emotion as Steiner is celebrating his victory and also mourning the loss of his wife. It also shows that you can overcome adversity as he did by winning an Olympic gold medal.

I agree with you about this picture. Its a great example of pathos. I don't see how someone could not get somewhat emotional over this event and how he held the picture up as his anthem was being played on the podium. The story behind the the Olympics was great too.

Great pathos example, it is impressing how people hold up their loved ones to get through a challenge. I can definitely relate to him because when you loose a loved one physically their always still in your heart. This sort of thing makes me think "awww" how sweet.

This is a example of pathos and a really emotional picture. I liked it and the story behind it, it is really inspirational. However, the bad thing is that the story behind it always has to be shown with the picture because if it is not, it loses its affect.
